Cave Creek Deserves a Worthy July 4th Celebration

America just celebrated its 250th birthday – a once-in-a-generation milestone.

Yet here in Cave Creek, there was no community parade, no town-sponsored fireworks, very few American flags, and little indication that our nation had reached such a historic moment.

If it weren’t for our local businesses and patriotic residents, you might not have known it was the Fourth of July.

For a town that proudly embraces its Western heritage, patriotism, and independence, that should concern all of us. Civic pride doesn’t happen by accident. It requires leadership, planning, and a commitment to bringing a community together.

We should be lining our streets with American flags, honoring our veterans and first responders, celebrating our history, and creating traditions our children and grandchildren will remember.

Next year, as your Mayor, I will lead the charge to give our community a celebration worthy of our nation’s founding and worthy of Cave Creek.
