Let me tell you who I am, because in a mayor’s race you deserve to know exactly who is asking for your vote.

I am a businessman. For thirty years I have built and run companies in the real world. I served as General Manager and Vice President of Thomason Autogroup, running large-scale operations with real budgets and real accountability. I founded Cross Point NW Auto Auction from scratch, which means I self funded, hired the staff, served the customers, and made payroll every single week with my own money on the line. Today I own and operate Auto Boom in Scottsdale, a specialized luxury dealership, employing hardworking Arizonans right now.

I am not a former anything. I am an active business owner who makes hard calls every day.

I am a husband. Annie and I have been married thirty years. I have been with Annie since high school, and she is still the first person I talk to when something matters. We raised two sons and a daughter. We have two grandchildren who visit and run around in this desert and remind us exactly why we live here.

I am a Cave Creek neighbor. I moved here for the same reasons most of you did. The open sky. The dark nights. The feeling that this is a place people chose on purpose rather than one they just ended up in. I have watched this town long enough to understand what makes it work and what threatens it.

And I am a candidate for Mayor because the decisions coming in the coming years on water, on development, on how this town manages its money and its character, are too important to leave to someone whose instinct is to manage the message rather than solve the problem.

I know how to read a contract. I know how to build a budget. I know how to tell people hard truths and then go do the work anyway.

That is who I am. That is what I am bringing to Town Hall.
